Common questions

Straight answers
for plan sponsors.

The questions HR leaders and CFOs ask us most, answered plainly. Don't see yours? Ask us directly.

Are you a fiduciary to our plan?

Yes. We serve as a co-fiduciary for investment advice under ERISA 3(21). We can also discuss 3(38) discretionary delegation based on your committee's needs.

How are you compensated?

We prefer fully transparent, fee-only arrangements. If legacy revenue sharing exists, we credit it back to the plan where possible. No hidden compensation.

What size plans do you serve?

We work across plan sizes, from emerging businesses to mid-market companies. Our 40+ plans range from small employers to professional firms with complex needs.

Can you help with committee training?

Yes. We provide annual fiduciary training, meeting minutes templates, IPS documentation, and ongoing support so your committee can fulfill its duties confidently.

What plan types do you advise on?

401(k), safe harbor, cash balance, defined benefit, pension, and SIMPLE IRA plans. We recommend the right structure for your business and workforce goals.

How long does onboarding take?

Most plan transitions complete in 60 to 90 days. We coordinate with your recordkeeper and TPA so the process is smooth for your HR team from day one.
